Scarlet Seduction
Scarlet Seduction began as an early filmmaking challenge: tell a complete story without a single line of dialogue. Created for Components of Visual Storytelling at Long Island University, the short uses color, lighting, performance, and editing to turn attraction into unease.
The film follows Vesper Noir, a vampire who lures a stranger, played by Malik Thomas, into her home. What begins as a chance encounter becomes a dinner invitation with a fatal outcome.
Cool city exteriors contrast with saturated red interiors. Glances, measured cuts, and candlelit details build tension until the final scene reveals Vesper’s intentions. Color and editing carry the narrative without dialogue.
